It's easy to forget that VMware regularly releases an updated Guest OS Guide, here is the latest on from 30th June. Enjoy.

These are the changes or updates made to the Guest Operating System Installation Guide since it was last published:

  • Added support for Windows Server 2003 Datacenter Edition on ESX Server 3.0.2, using the e1000 network adapter driver. See “Windows Server 2003” on page 37.
  • Clarified Fusion support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3 and 4. See “Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3” on page 107 and “Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4” on page 102.
  • Updated instructions for disabling IPv6 on Ubuntu Linux 7.04, 6.10, 6.06, 5.10, and 5.04 guests. See the same Ubuntu Linux guests.
